How sad. This movie really does have potential, as far as suspense & production design, but alas, it's its' own worst enemy. First off, I'd have to assume that terrorist groups (or their sympathizers) funded this project. And then of course, it deteriorates directly to a partisan attack on any "conservative" administration. (Noted, when the movie was made, but it doesn't change that point.) They even have an actress that looks like Condi's twin sister, in a very thinly veiled (none) presentation of whom the PM & Pres are supposed to be, with all the usual leftist jabs and cuts throughout. Then there are several things that are a stretch, as far as not making sense or being believable actions from the main character. (That's aside from the perfunctory adultery scene, no matter how out of the characters it is, and how much it doesn't make sense and is definitely not needed.) The cherry on top (no pun intended), is that the ending is outrageously stupid, unbelievable, and the same absurd formula that's been used f-o-r-e-v-e-r! Get rid of all the B.$. propaganda (i.e. "message"), and this could be a great film. I will say the acting is good, and Eli Wallach was still fantastic, even though it was basically a cameo.
