A book to love. One of my favourites. Trella is a character that we can easily identify with, as she struggles with her place in society after being thrust from her zone of comfort into a role that will see her overcome the miscommunication and dismantle the hierarchy that has unjustly divided her society and kept everyone in what is effectively a prison. It's hard not to cheer for her as she grows into her new shoes, and the twist at the end is both unpredictable and comes with a significant message that sets the tone for the excellent sequel.
