Two words: eh and convoluted. I thought the first two books were hard to follow, this one was agony. The Jackal came back after 13 years for no reason I can discern, and had Bourne racing all over the place trying to kill him. Who was part of Medusa and who wasn't, who was suspected to be and who wasn't suspected but was, makes no logical sense to me and I couldn't follow all the names mentioned without a map and a storyboard. I probably followed 15-20% of what I read. The action was good enough that I kept reading, since I did like the first two books. Too much italicizing again, though. The Jackal was not killed in a single, easy face-off, which I'm very glad about since it happens more than I would like in books I read. But I'm still not totally satisfied with the ending. More of a psychological struggle between Webb and Bourne in this book since he's older, which was an interesting route not too much explored in the last two books. However, considering this is the Bourne Ultimatum, he's probably only in about 50-60% of the book.
