This is a 1991 American horror-thriller directed by Jonathan Demme, adapted by Ted Tally from the 1988 novel of the same name by Thomas Harris.
It shows the character of Dr. Hannibal Lecter---a brilliant psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer.
A young U.S. FBI trainee (Jodie Foster) seeks the advice of the imprisoned Dr. Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) to apprehend another serial killer, known only as "Buffalo Bill".
It is a thrilling, terrifying and entertaining piece depicted between psychological study and all-out horror.
