Burned

Fever Series Book 7

I find the series DELIGHTFUL, and a great non-chemical mood-lifter & destressor from my real-life troubles. These books are for the red-blooded grown adult who enjoys full-hearted hotness, romance and action stories. Great World-building, beautiful imagery! No boring dead-trouts here! Burned #7 presents multiple points-of-view (POV) very nicely, sometimes hilariously (Lor!!!), sometimes very touchingly. Mac & Barrons undergo relationship growing pains. Mac is evolving with quiet little hints here & there, but it's a silent fizz, like wine developing in a barrel, leading to further surprises. Dani pays a rather Karmic price for deeds done. I did love Dani's character, she reminded me of Child Soldier Nux of Mad Max - Fury Road, mentally old & damaged beyond her years, suicidally reckless. There's a lot of story setup for the next books, but I'm loving it, cannot wait, and rereading the previous books too. There's quite a bit of detail, so I'm always finding something I missed.
