Started a little slow for me but the last couple chapters really made up for it! This book had a little romance, paranormal (wouldn't a Brenna Yovanoff book without it ) and mystery in it so it can appeal to anyone. I like how you could see character develop in Hannah, having her stop being one of the “popular” girls because thats the image that her friend group set up for them selves to her true self. And with Lillian, Hannahs best friend who died, having her really help Hannah and finally being able to let her go and fully pass on. Throughly enjoyed this book. For example, the story behind Lilian; I did not see the protagonist's feelings behind her motives. But as the book continued on, more secrets came to light and my eyes were opened up. Overall, if readers like mystery, suspense, and romance, this book is great for them. However, I was expecting a bit more participation from the main character in the uncovering of the murders. This book gave great insight on the stereotypes and unjust treatment of those in today's society. It helps readers see that sometimes, there is more to people in books, and in life, than outward appearances. - @Siri of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
