Movie was well done, however was not scary at all. The children played their roles really well, but movie should be considered more of a thriller then a horror

Not scary AT all. In fact, some parts were more comical than anything. The kids are great actors, but way too much swearing for their age, and not even needed. Watched with someone who is faint hearted and he found it not scary.

This isn't a horror movie. It's not even slightly scary. Any attempts at horror are dull, predictable and in most cases brought to you by absolutely terrible cgi.

What this movie is actually is just another political agenda wrapped up in an incredibly uninteresting and disjointed story. Why is the only white female "parent" extremely overweight, extremely over protective and forcing illness upon her son? Why are the adult white males so hyper violent with just a hint of sexual deviance? Why is the only non-white child being told that he's in a world where he's either the guy killing sheep or he's the sheep being killed? Why is the only female child of the otherwise all male group somehow both the only source of the groups courage AND morality? And why I wonder is this same girl also the victim of slut shaming? I could go on by I won't. If only there was an actual STORY being told that gave some explanation for any of this.

No story, just politics. That, if anything is the only part of this movie that is actually scary.

Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed with this remake of a classic Stephen King film. The original movie (1990) was the one that gave me nightmares as a kid growing up. I never liked clowns after seeing that movie. The remake (this film), in contrast, lacks A LOT of vital substance. For example, I felt it lacked tension and character development. Instead of concentrating on the gore factor, the makers of this remake should have spent their time developing quality footage. Better yet, just forget the remake altogether.

Fat kid, black kid, nerdy kids, fat mom. All the gasping, creaky steps, and darkness doesn’t add up to a horror or interesting film. This was like a creepy Disney after school special with odd violence. If you have a cold or the flu, it might be worth it. So sad that they left it open for “It’s”.

This is such a wasted piece of garbage that even after I got a second Old Forester, it did not improve; I waited 'til the end in hopes of some kind of redemption: none. Yes, the huge five hundred pound walking chunk of lard was the stereotypical American woman--just walking grease like 99% of the lard buckets in this country these days; I wouldn't do them with a mop handle. Hoped for some reprieve for little Georgie--none. Beverly was the only attractive character; the rest were self-named: Losers. Of the bad movies ever made, this is one of the worst.

2 stars. ** Barely decent movie. All hype due to high Rottentomatoes score. It's an average movie with 5 unknown kids paid base union scale wages with a creepy crown whose screen time was about 35 minutes total. Thumbs down. It's a MIRACLE it did nearly $700m world wide. Sign of the times, I guess.

Having been a fan of the book and the original 1990 TV miniseries, I was hesistant about how this remake would turn out. I actually found IT to be quite good, from a very effective opening scene to its gripping finale. A subplot with the main bully in the deleted scenes would have been better left in, but overall a very good movie - a nice companion to the previous versions.

I didn't like this remake version of It (2017). This version is alright, but this remake of It is boring. I loved the original version of It (1990) better.

I read the book years ago when it came out, and it is a fabulous read. I still think the original mini series is better. They changed the story quite a bit in this movie. But, this movie is worth a watch, the young actors and the CGI are great. I disliked how the swearing and extra gory was added to the movie, it was not necessary. I wish the would remake Salem's Lot, my favorite SK book.

If we split up like last time, that clown will kill us, one by one, but if we stick together, all of us... we'll win. I promise.

There is a church full of Jews. And Stan has to take the super Jew-y test.
-But how does it work?
They slice the tip of his dick off.
-But then you'll have nothing left!
It is true.
- Wait, you guys! Hey, Stan, what happens at the mitzvah anyways?
Ed says you slice the tip of the d-d-d-dick off.
-Yes, Rabbi's gonna pull down your pants. And he will tell the crowd: "Where's the beef?".
At he bar mitzvah, I read from the Torah... and then I make a speech, and suddenly I become a man.

Ok so let me get this straight. IT comes out from wherever to eat kids for like a year and then what? IT just goes into hibernation?
-Maybe it's like... What do you call it? Cicadas. You know, the bugs that come out once every 17 years.
