I watched this movie in the theater. I must have forgot to write about it. It is all about a boy who was born with a disfigured face. Owen Wilson stars in this movie. I borrowed that movie from your library and Owen Wilson starred in Marley and Me and to me he looks a lot like my old friend I knew since 2004 from school. I just got this DVD today from hold on May 12. Also, the girl named Summer in this movie is also Ms. O in Odd Squad. There is also a red-haired boy in this movie who was also in Odd Squad. I found that out on May 16 in this movie everyone laughed at the movies wen he said butt and when he said crazy kids everyone laughed and a lady laughed when he said my mom says he's a little weird the people were laughing. When the dad was waving food and making the dog nod her head one girl shakes her food at the dog and she shakes her head while laughing and while they were talking it made me cry 2 times by watching the 2 time and they all laughed when he said what about your gray hair everyone laughed when he said i smalied and laughed a little when he had a hoodie while all of them were playing a video game but it is sad that she's said she is an only child. The loud carrot chopping scared me. I laughed when he said Daisy the dog threw up all over his costume. Everyone laughed when his mom said I don't like peppers they give daddy gas. I didn't even know what it was they were laughing at. It was sad when he said he just follows him everywhere to his classmates when his mom says she has to go her brother threw up in school a girl said ew. It made me sad and it was crazy when he said that his friend made fun of him and they were talking about christmas break Auggie's friend Jack went sledding and the cool kid sad he went last year to Mountain hill it sucked he left his sled and when he went to get it it was gone he said someone took it maybe a homeless person took it but really Auggie's best friend Jack did he didn't say nothing because he didn't want them to know. Then his best friend wanted talk to him then after class runs after her says hi summer asking her why he's avoiding him she said why don't you ask him she says i did and he still doesn't want to talk then she says Ghost Face wait what he said thats all i can tell you. Then he remembers when on Halloween he made fun of Auggie. Then, some cool guys wants to be in group of 3 the teacher says thats alright but jack says no he want to be with Auggie. Later Jack gets in a fight with Julian and gets suspended. Then Daisy the dog dies and it made me cry. During the play, his dad says Auggie you're missing a great episode of hoarders right here starring your mom's purse. Everyone laughed in the movies theater, even me. I also laughed when she said then there was the nures who farted about a 100 times we laughed ok thats was you. Then Julian hands him the paper with a picture drawing of making fun of him. I thought he would say I'm sorry. Then he put a class picture on his locker saying no freaks allowed he gets caught and his parents don't believe he is bad. On the other side it said Do everyone a favor and die. Julian's mom said she made the picture but she didn't think he'd take it to school and that he had nightmares about this kid. His mom wants him to change schools but he does not want to but his parents were no help at all then Julian says he's really sorry as they were walking out the door and the principal said I know you are. Then the boys were at camp watching the Wizard of OZ which I watched in Gr. 9. They go outside on a walk there are some bullies as they walked by that are older than them. They make fun of Auggie but he fought them. They were picking on his best friends, then the other boys came and the fought them back. Then, his dad told him that he took his helmet and said do you forgive me Auggie said NO. YES. they laughed it is funny when Chewbacca appeared at the ceremony.

This was every bit as poignant and uplifting as I expected after the trailer made me cry when I first saw it. I have yet to read the book, but I have heard that it is a fairly faithful adaptation, and I know both children and grown-ups have been impacted by this story and seen pieces of themselves reflected in various characters. I am sad that I didn't get to the book first, but the movie has certainly not dampened any of my enthusiasm to read it.

I'm not an Owen Wilson fan (understatement) but this movie had very little of him, and he did not overact. The story is fairly predictable, and it gets a little preachy in a few spots. What surprised me is that although I was expecting an "After-School Special" movie and that is what it was, I still got a bit teary--twice. Anyone who has felt different, left out, or abandoned will be touched by these characters. Both child actors are Oscar worthy performers.

This was a good movie. One that shows school-age children to be sensitive to others and have some empathy and courage for treating people right.

> The book was AWESOME! I rated it 5/5.
> This movie (surprisingly because it's not usually the case) stayed very true to the book and all the characters was exactly like I imagined them when I was reading the book. But no movie can keep up to a book so I rate this 4.5/5!
> My favourite characters in the movie was probably Via and Justin.
> I think that whoever watches the movie or reads the book really HAS TO read "Auggie and Me" by R.J. Palacio. It contains three short stories that adds a lot to all the characters, and I feel like Wonder is incomplete without those stories. So I kinda wish they put those stories in the movie, but I guess they couldn't do all that. Also, anyone who read the book noticed Chris wasn't in the movie (Auggie's bf)?

I waited so long to see this because I thought it would be saccharine and overly sentimental, but it managed to hit all the right notes without being sickly sweet. I hate Owen Wilson, but the cast was so good together even he didn't bother me. Excellent story and really well done. A must see!

Better than your average teen and pre-teen school story. I liked how it often took turns focusing on some of the other characters, explaining their backstories. A feel-good movie of sorts.

A well done movie if predictable.

This movie teaches us so much. How to stand up for our selves, how to look over other people's oppienens, how not every one dose not have to like you, for a few good friends is just right, treat people how you want to be treated, and over all, choose kind!
